As intricate little human souls, we naturally strive for validation in many forms—from family, community, our friends, our workplace, our business/spiritual coach’ and our lovers.
This quest for external affirmation is deeply embedded in our being, reflecting our social nature and interconnectedness.
However, there exists a delicate balance, a slippery slope, where we may tip over and lose sight of a fundamental truth: the only true validation we need is from ourselves.
At our core, we are spiritual beings on a human journey. Our souls seek to express, connect, and be seen.
This desire for validation is a reflection of our deeper yearning to be acknowledged, understood, and accepted. Yet, this search can lead us away from our inner wisdom, making us overly reliant on external sources for a sense of worth and identity.
True spiritual growth involves turning inward and reconnecting with our divine essence. It means understanding that our worth is inherent, no matter what, and not contingent upon external approval.
By embracing self-validation and self-devotion, we honor our unique journey and recognize our inherent divinity. Remember, your worth is not determined by others' opinions or approval, even though it can hurt sometimes. Embrace your divine essence and trust in your inner wisdom.
By validating yourself, you honor your soul's journey and step into your authentic power. This self-acknowledgment allows you to rise, connect deeply with the earth and sky, and live a life of true fulfilment and purpose.
I have been on the crunchiest journey in respect to desiring to feel validated in what I do.
Too many times, I have felt unseen, out on the outskirts of community, friend groups, and sometimes even family because I think differently and say what I think.
I have compartmentalized and placed a lot of my self-worth on outside validation. The tough outer core of me would brush it off, but deep down, under all the armour and hardening of the heart, was a lonely little girl who was so angry and scared at being unnoticed.
You feel yourself crumble time and time again. So, there comes a moment in time when you get to choose. You get to go first and choose to be all in—all in your body, all in yourself, all in your mindset, all in your soul business, all in your spirituality, ALL IN.
For those who continuously make you feel like you have to collapse yourself after a profound breakthrough, you can speak out to them and let them know they are welcome to come with you because you’re so ready for that. Or you can leave them be and concentrate on self-validation for yourself.
So, what are you choosing?
